When You Are Very Small

I hope you all enjoy this poem!

(Written for the little girl enjoying the rain, in the Wal-Mart parking lot)

When you are very small, the world
Looks like a very big place
Always taking time to explore
Walking at your own pace
Stopping to smell the flowers
Felling the rain drops during the showers
Wondering at God’s beautiful creation

When you are very big
The world looks like a very small place
No time to explore, hurrying, no time to lose
Trying to keep up the pace, no time to lose
Walking hurriedly past the flowers,
Hiding behind umbrellas in the showers
Not even looking at God’s beautiful creation

Little girl, don’t let yourself get pulled
By the cares of the world you live in,
Instead draw close to the One
Who placed you here to begin with
Remember to always take time for fun
When you are very big
Please remember when you were very small

Blessings And Peace!
